New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, Boylston
Situated in Boylston, the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill is truly one of the most beautiful Massachusetts wedding venues. This 171-acre botanic garden and arboretum offers plenty of beautiful gardens, trails, and other outdoor spaces to explore.
With a location not far from Boston or Worcester, this venue is fairly central. For your ceremony, you even get to choose between a few locations in the gardens:
- The Secret Garden, a lovely outdoor area where you can exchange vows in front of a stone wall surrounded by beautiful greenery
- The Lawn Garden, perfect for those who want an area that really feels romantic and ethereal with twinkle lights
- The Reservoir Room, an indoor space with big open windows on the ceiling
Cocktail hour can be held in the Winter Garden, a gorgeous outdoor space with a water feature and brick. Of course, we all know New England weather isn’t always the best, so there’s also a breathtaking Great Hall that can be used as a backup space with exposed wooded beams on the ceiling. The Orangerie hosts in-season receptions.
Plus, enjoy award-winning catering from Peppers Artful Events and ARTbar, which the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill exclusively works with.
Zukas Hilltop Barn, Spencer
Spencer’s Zukas Hilltop Barn is a gorgeous wedding venue near Worcester that has both indoor and outdoor ceremony spots so that you can really make it your own. This sustainable venue also conserves, recycles, and composts, making it green-friendly.
As a locally-owned family business, Zukas Hilltop Barn hosts 100(ish) weddings per year. One of the offers that sets this Massachusetts wedding venue apart is that it’s pretty known for its tent weddings. You can celebrate under a beautiful tent with twinkling lights as you dance the night away in a space that can host up to 250 guests.
If you’d rather have an outdoor wedding ceremony, you can also reserve the venue’s gazebo, which has idyllic views surrounding it.
If you’ll be tying the knot in the off-season from November through April, there’s a beautiful indoor banquet space with exposed wooden beams, a full bar, and cozy fireplace. They’re able to host 150 guests for an indoor celebration. There are lots of great windows in this space, allowing for an abundance of natural lighting!
Beauport Hotel, Gloucester
This MA wedding venues article would not be complete without including at least one venue by the water, right? Beauport Hotel Gloucester is a gorgeous 4-star hotel that doubles as an incredible wedding venue for those who want a quintessential ocean wedding venue in New England.
The largest (and most popular) venue at Beauport Hotel is the Oceanside Grand Ballroom, which is 3327 square feet and features a beautiful outdoor terrace and golden chandeliers. Plus, there are floor-to-ceiling windows with impeccable views. Ceremonies can be hosted in the Grand Ballroom, the Oceanside Terrace, or the Pavilion Room.
This venue can host up to 230 wedding guests; plus, since it’s a hotel, you can even host your guests right at the venue to make travel the least of your worries! There are 94 guest rooms, as well as a special honeymoon suite for you and your partner.
Harrington Farm, Princeton
Harrington Farm is a gorgeous central Massachusetts wedding venue that takes the classic “barn venues” to a more elevated yet cozy aesthetic. Situated on 60 acres in Princeton, Harrington Farms is a beautiful country setting where you can have your wedding and exchange vows.
Packages at Harrington Farms include a variety of amenities, including wine service that compliments dinner, private use of the grounds, 5-hour reception, your choice of gold or silver charger plates, and more. Plus, they have wedding planners who can help you with every last detail if you want something truly custom.
Throughout the venue, you’ll find so many charming areas. There’s a gorgeous stone fireplace that makes the atmosphere a lot cozier, the wraparound front porch on the venue itself, and, of course, the main barn area with high-rise ceilings, large windows, and beautiful twinkling lights throughout. For a rustic venue, you can’t go wrong with hosting your wedding here.
Hyatt Regency Cambridge Boston, Cambridge
Hopefully, you can tell by now that some of New England’s best venues are actually hotels! For a city venue, look no further than the Hyatt Regency Cambridge Boston. Located right on the water, this venue is impossible to miss when visiting Boston.
Similar to other venues on this list, they have a variety of different event spaces. You can choose between options like:
- The Riverside Pavilion (which, yes, is along the Charles River) featuring a big, white tent and chandeliers for up to 300 guests
- The outdoor Courtyard surrounded by florals and greenery for up to 300 guests
- The Charles View Ballroom which has beautiful city skyline views (you can even see the iconic Citgo Sign!) overlooking the Charles River for up to 180 guests
- The 14th floor Mt. Auburn Ballroom with two patios overlooking the entire Boston skyline for up to 300 guests
With a wedding planner in-house and catering available right at the venue, Hyatt Regency Cambridge Boston is an excellent choice for those looking to say “I do” in the city. Plus, as a hotel, you and your guests can even stay right on-site before and after the big day!
Sapphire Estate, Sharon
Sharon, Massachusetts is home to the sophisticated Sapphire Estate, a breathtaking wedding venue that’s also not far from Boston. The owners of the venue also run a few other venues in the area, like The Lakehouse, The Villa, and Avenir.
The venue itself features beautiful views of a lake and is overall incredibly serene. There’s chandeliers, picturesque forested areas, and of course, a fireplace that makes it even more charming. In fall, this venue is really a stand out choice with the foliage.
With a wedding at Sapphire Estate, you’ll get a multitude of amenities, such as access to a private wedding suite, an event manager and producer to help with the planning, complimentary food tasting, a mini stationary display, and more.
Granite Links, Quincy
If views of the Boston skyline are a must-have for your venue but you don’t want to be in the city, Granite Links may be a great option for you. One of the aspects that is so great about Granite Links is that it’s a blank canvas that you can completely dress up to match your wedding’s aesthetic.
Throughout Granite Links, there’s a variety of areas, such as the Grand Ballroom with a large chandelier and massive windows, the Pavilion Tent overlooking the Boston skyline outdoors, and the Veranda, which works as a beautiful dining space with lots of natural lighting.
All wedding packages at Granite Links have lots of amenities, and usually include a wedding ceremony rehearsal, private wedding suite (with access to snacks and beverages, of course), and even a complimentary voucher for 18 holes of golf for up to four players.
Avenir, Walpole
I know, I know – I mentioned Avenir very briefly up above in Sapphire Estate. It’s run by the same parent company, Sapphire Event Group! This venue in particular is located in Walpole and can host more than 350 guests.
If “chic” and “glamorous” are on your wedding’s Pinterest moodboard, then Avenir is an incredible wedding venue option for you. There’s even a mother of pearl dance floor and large chandeliers that really help to give the space a distinct look.
Throughout Avenir, you’ll find an indoor terrace (perfect for cocktail hour), a ceremony space outdoors, the large ballroom, and even another ceremony room that’s inside if that’s more your vibe.
